Jasmine Trias To Collaborate With Henry Kapono To Grant Girl’s Wish

A little bit of pixie dust and a whole lot of talent made eight-year-old Elikia’s wish to have the song she wrote recorded by a female singer a reality. Make-A-Wish Hawaii Ambassador, Henry Kapono wrote special music to accompany Elikia’s lyrics and asked Jasmine Trias if she would be the recording vocalist. Hawaii Pacific Entertainment coordinated the project for the super duo who produced a special CD for Elikia, who is fighting acute myelocytic leukemia.

SOS LV welcomes back Jasmine Trias, for five-weekend show series

The Society of Seven Las Vegas (SOS LV), Waikiki’s best entertainment show, is welcoming back Hawaii’s American Idol finalist Jasmine Trias for a five-weekend engagement on Fridays and Saturdays from March 6 to April 4 at 8:30 p.m. at the Outrigger Main Showroom. “Jasmine was a hit with the Society of Seven Las Vegas cast when she performed with them last year and we’re so excited to have her back at the Outrigger Main Showroom,” said Fran Kirk, Executive Vice President of Outrigger Entertainment. “Jasmine adds an element of freshness and femininity to the Society of Seven Las Vegas, and audiences will be surprised by her growth, and also by the broad scope of musical genres she is able to excel in.”

In addition to SOS LV’s sensational Broadway melodies and celebrity impersonations, Trias will perform songs from “Flower Drug Song,” “Miss Saigon,” and “Dream Girls.” She will also enchant the audiences with her impersonations of Beyonce, Britney Spears, Natalie Cole and Shakira, and perform hits from her American Idol journey that put her in the limelight in both Hawaii and abroad.

Trias, who finished third in the third season of American Idol, has performed with the original SOS group led by Tony Ruivivar at the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas. She was the first American Idol star to have appeared in a production show on the Las Vegas Strip.

The Society of Seven LV performs on Wednesday through Saturday at 8:30 p.m. at the Outrigger Main Showroom in Waikiki.
